Rose Cottage is situated in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty less than a mile from the pretty village of Matfield, recently voted Kent village of the year. This beautifully converted holiday retreat offers modern accommodation in a tranquil and picturesque setting with excellent walking and access to cycle routes.

The interior is spacious and comfortable with a well- equipped kitchen leading into the main living room and dining area, which has an L-shaped settee/sofa bed. The shower room has a large shower cubicle, heated towel rail, toilet and wash basin.

A spiral staircase takes you up to a stunning mezzanine sleeping area with a low level king-size bed and sloping ceilings.

The front of the cottage has its own courtyard parking for 2 cars and to the rear is a private sun trap patio with garden furniture and barbeque.

A short walk along the footpath will bring you to Matfield Village with its pubs, restaurant, shop and post office. The traditional village green is a relaxing place to spend a summer afternoon watching the cricket.

The location is excellent for visiting the many castles, gardens and National Trust properties in Kent and Sussex.  Only 5 miles from Tunbridge Wells and 3 miles to Paddock Wood mainline station with fast trains to London (45 mins) and Ashford for Channel Tunnel.

Cottage sleeps 2 people (non smoking)  Arrival from 3pm, departure 10am.  One well behaved dog is welcome.
